For years, the FIFA series of games have been among the best soccer games available, with EA Sports maintaining a consistent level of quality. For many people, it’s the first destination for men’s soccer. However, for this year’s edition of the franchise, the series is going beyond the men’s game. Today, EA Sports is announcing that FIFA 16 will be introducing women’s international soccer for the first time.

FIFA 16 will feature 12 Women’s National Teams, many of which are competing in this year’s World Cup. The teams are Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, England, France, Germany, Italy, Mexico, Spain, Sweden, and the United States. The women’s teams will be available for the game’s Kick Off mode, as well as Online Friendly Matches.

New Xbox One controller coming June

xbox-one1

Microsoft has leaked word of a new Xbox One controller, presumably to be revealed next month at E3.

The company’s own Xbox Support website has been updated with mention of a 3.5mm headphone port at the base of the pad.

This new feature is “only available on controllers released after June 2015”.

What other new features the pad will offer is unknown.

One frequent request from Xbox One owners is for a controller that can be charged via USB cable straight out of the box, rather than via a Play and Charge kit (sold separately).

But the fact that the design is otherwise identical suggests that the overall form factor of the controller will remain intact.

Sony has revealed a new trailer for What Remains of Edith Finch?

Apparently the narrative will focus on a series of short stories, all involving the death of different members of the Finch family.

It looks a lot like Gone Home in regards to exploring a house and locating diary entries and the like, but the abode is explicitly haunted in Edith Finch. The game is set to launch on PS4 later this year.

According to Reddit, a community manager for developer Cloud Imperium Games accidentally release part of a URL linking to Cryengine assets to be used in the game. A fan managed to guess the rest of the URL and managed to download 40GB of assets before CIG noticed and took it down.

The assets acquired can be seen in this YouTube video, in particular showing the game’s colossal Bengal Carrier ship which would require multiple people to control and maintain.
