The release of Destiny’s new 2.0 update this week has not gone entirely to plan. Some Xbox One and Xbox 360 players are running into issues when downloading the new update. Thankfully, then, Bungie is aware of the issue and is working to investigate the matter.
“We are aware of Xbox users reporting issues downloading Destiny Update 2.0.0,” Bungie said on Twitter. “Thank you for your patience as we investigate.”
That’s not the only Destiny problem this week, however.
Bungie has also acknowledged reports of people who preordered The Taken King not receiving in-game shaders, emblems, and items. “We are aware and investigating,” Bungie explained.
In more positive news, Destiny: The Taken King is less than one week away, but there’s still a bit more to uncover. PlayStation platforms are getting an exclusive strike, which you can watch today.
The strike is called Echo Chamber, and it pits fireteams against a Vex boss called The Restorative Mind.
The other strike, available to all players, is called Sunless Cell. In that one, you’ll be up against the Hive baddy that once posed a threat to The Taken King’s uber-boss, Oryx.
You can tune into see Echo Chamber on the PlayStation Twitch channel at 2 p.m. Pacific / 5 p.m. Eastern / 10pm UK & Ireland today. For those hoping to dive right into Taken King next week, you should take the time to download this week’s 17 GB update that brings Destiny a host of new systems and improvements.
