Good news, everyone! A fantastic new trailer has just been released for the upcoming Resident Evil HD Remaster.
The bad news? It’s in Japanese. But don’t let that deter you.
In addition to higher resolution models, locations and a (rumored) new voice cast, the HD Remaster will boast an option to switch between the original 4:3 resolution or a shiny new 16:9 widescreen option. A new control option has also been added, although RE purists will probably opt to using the D-Pad. Anything else? Of course! Jill & Chris will also come with optional BSAA costumes from RE5’s Lost In Nightmares campaign, including Chris’ giant boulder punching arms.
It will also come with Wesker’s Report part 1 & 2, which is fantastic as Part one was impossible to find when it was originally released and Part 2 could only be found on the RE website around the time the Remake was released. Last but not least, if you’re of the Japanese persuasion or, like me, you’re gonna order the shit out of the Japanese version, it will come with a pretty amazing map of the mansions’ floor plan and a pretty awesome art book. Bear in mind, at this time, the only physical version of the game will be released in Asian markets, which kinda sucks.
Guns at the ready, folks. Survival Horror is making a comeback when it drops in Japan on 27/11/2014 and Early 2015 for the rest of the world on Steam, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.
